Reconstruction of West Cihang Temple: According to the stele of Dajidian Village, it was rebuilt in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty [the first year of Qing Daoguang (1821) stele]. It is located at the west end of Fenghuotai Road, outside the east gate, and is located on an independent platform of 8000 square meters. The drama inscription records that Fang Guancheng rebuilt this temple, according to legend, when he was in exile, he relied on monks to make a living, had stayed in this temple, and later served as the governor of Zhili, in order to make the refugees have a place to live, and fulfilled the promise of rebuilding. At that time, there were two Cihang Temple built by him, one was located in Dajidian, and the other was located in Xushui Caohe River, because Dajidian Cihang Temple was close to the west of Baoding relative to Caohe Cihang Temple, so it was called West Cihang Temple. It has been damaged and rebuilt many times, most recently during the War of Resistance 80 years ago. Later, due to historical changes, only 6,000 square meters of islands remained in the West Cihang Temple.
In 1953, the rehabilitation Hospital was moved from Tangzhuang Village to Dajidian Village. The patients were placed in the two villages. There are 3 resident monks in Xicihang Temple, and the teaching staff presiding over the religious activities is the vice president of Baoding Buddhist Association, Shi Shenchan. Since 2017, the monks of the monastery have actively participated in public welfare undertakings. During the COVID-19 epidemic, while strictly implementing the "double suspension" of religious places, the temple called on the monks and believers to donate more than 20,000 yuan to the epidemic prevention and control work. It has played a positive role in the management of religious affairs in the competition area.
